I am a results-driven Lead Product Designer with 11 years of experience in the SaaS, Ad Tech, and Creator/Influencer industries, specializing in B2B/Enterprise products. Throughout my career, I am recognized for designing and iterating based on data-driven decisions for large-scale products. I have also implemented design systems and established product design standards to mentor and elevate other product designers.

During my tenure at Bizness Apps, I achieved significant milestones by spearheading successful rebranding initiatives and revamping an antiquated skeuomorphic app builder and management platform. By introducing new and innovative UI/UX design standards, I modernized the platform, delivering a more intuitive and user-friendly experience to our clients. These accomplishments reflect my dedication to driving positive change and elevating the overall design quality of the products I work on.

In my role at Vungle, I pioneered the incorporation of a Self-Serve dashboard product, allowing users to independently create ad campaigns with a major reduction of time for managing ad campaigns and uploading creatives along with reviewing performance via reporting. Additionally, I designed the transition to a Self-Serve model on the Monetization side, streamlining processes such as app and placement addition, and SDK integration, significantly cutting integration time and ad display in mobile apps. In addition, I took on the responsibility of managing other designers, where I established best practices and career ladders, and efficiently assigned and transitioned products and responsibilities among the team.

During my time at Linqia, I played a pivotal role in the organization's success. I developed a comprehensive design system and established best practices for product design management, ensuring efficient and cohesive workflows for the design team. Additionally, I successfully implemented a payments & review feature, significantly reducing payout processing time from several laborious days and email exchanges to mere minutes, thereby enhancing the overall user experience. In line with my commitment to innovation, I also contributed to the design of strategic and visionary products that would help shape the company's roadmap.

 

BIO

Originally from South Gate, California, Justin Diaz is a Computer-Mediated Anthropology and Art Practice Double Major who graduated from the University of California at Berkeley. His favorite artist, Dr. Seuss, Justin grew up with art around him in comics and watching cartoons like X-Men and Spider-Man from the ’90s. Inspired by these cartoons, comics, and collectible cards he began drawing at the age of 6. Justin focuses on line drawing and black-and-white imagery which he believes tells more of a story... Justin says that his interest in Anthropology β€œcomes from my ability to observe the minute details about people and how they interact with each other.” He enjoys creating distinct original ideas from his studying of people and analysis of their interactions. He continues to mostly draw ink line drawings because of his control over the medium. Justin is most interested in having fun and likes to connect with his inner child. Now he is working on demonstrating his talents through a Product Design focus.
